Farouk Ladha

Farouk Ladha founded Four Rivers Group in 2007 and serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. Prior to founding FRG, Farouk was a Managing Director at SVB Capital, the venture capital arm of Silicon Valley Bank (Nasdaq: SIVB). Prior to SVB Capital, Farouk worked at Broadview in the technology M&A group, and at PwC in the turnaround group consulting to businesses in crisis. Farouk began his career in sales and channel development at an inventory management startup selling into the healthcare space.

Since founding Four Rivers, a number of Farouk's investments have been successfully acquired or become public companies. These include Assurex Health (Acquired by Myriad Genetics), New Relic (NYSE: NEWR), FireEye (Nasdaq: FEYE), Aerohive (Nasdaq: HIVE), Corrigo (Acquired by JLL), Check (Acquired by Intuit), Carbonite (Nasdaq: CARB), Sabrix (Acquired by Thomson Reuters), and Power Reviews (Acquired by BazaarVoice).

At SVB Capital, Farouk managed the firm’s direct equity group and led investments in Gracenote (Acquired by Sony), CipherTrust (Acquired by Secure Computing), PGP Corporation (Acquired by Symantec), Inquira (Acquired by Oracle), and Xoom (Nasdaq: XOOM).

Farouk is actively involved in the community and volunteers in numerous capacities within the Aga Khan Development Network (www.AKDN.org). Farouk has also been appointed to the Board of Directors of New School San Francisco (http://www.newschoolsf.org/).

Farouk earned a B.A. in economics and a minor in Islamic Studies, graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and with High Honors from Dartmouth College and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Aamir Virani

Aamir Virani is the co-founder and former COO and SVP-Product of Dropcam, Inc. The Dropcam defined the connected home camera and video services markets upon its release in 2012. Dropcam was acquired by Google in 2014 for $555MM. He is an active angel investor and company advisor, helping founders to scale teams and develop product strategy.

Aamir has a BS Electrical Engineering from Rice University and remains a problem-solving engineer at heart.

Joe Greenstein

Joe Greenstein is co-founder & CEO of Flixster - a social application for sharing and discovering movies used by more than 25 million people each month.  Flixster was acquired by TimeWarner in 2011.  Prior to Flixster, Joe was part of the startup team and Director of Product Management at Edusoft, a web-based curriculum and assessment platform for public school districts used by more than 4 million students nationwide.  Edusoft was acquired by Houghton-Mifflin in 2003.

While still an undergrad, Joe was a co-founder of CoreMetrics - one of the leading providers of real-time web analytics which was later acquired by IBM.  Joe likes hot dogs, kind people and long walks on the beach.

Lew Cirne

Lew Cirne is the founder of New Relic, the first provider of SaaS application management tools for cloud or datacenter applications. A seasoned entrepreneur, technologist, and enterprise software pioneer, he has been focused on application performance management for more than ten years. Cirne holds seven patents related to application performance technology. Most recently he was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Benchmark Capital. He founded and was first CEO of Wily Technology (sold to CA for $375M) and earlier held senior engineering positions at Apple and Hummingbird Communications.

Russ Fradin

Russ is a digital media industry veteran with more than 15 years experience in the online marketing world.  Russ co-founded and was CEO of Adify (acquired by Cox for $300M in May 2008) and co-founded SocialShield.  He was also SVP of BD at Wine.com, EVP of Corporate Development at comScore (NASDAQ:SCOR) and was among the first employees at Flycast (acquired by CMGi for $2.3B in January 2000).

Russ is also an active angel investor in the digital world and is on a number of Boards.  Russ holds a BS in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
